Lutang — für Akkordeon und Obertongesang

lutang is a Filipino word which means floating, flowing or adrift- depending where you put the accent on the word. This piece is an exploration through the composer's own voice, the accordionist's voice and their possible connection and natural flow to and fro the sound of the instrument.

Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis ist eine philippinische Komponistin. Felizs Kompositionen, gesponnen mit ruhiger Hand aus einem feinen Glasfaden, sprechen leidenschaftlich durch eine verworrene Welt aus stimmlichen, instrumentellen und elektronischen Quellen. Kürzlich erhielt sie die ULYSSES Co-Commission von IRCAM und der Fondation Royaumont, das Staatsstipendium und das Startstipendium des Österreichischen Bundesministeriums für Kunst, Kultur, Öffentlichen Dienst und Sport sowie der Aide à l'écriture d'une œuvres musicale originale des Ministeriums für Kultur/ DRAC Îles-de-France.

Maria Mogas Gensana

Maria Mogas Gensana is an accordionist specialized in the interpretation of contemporary music, member of the contemporary music Ensamble Vertixe Sonora (ESP), Duo Ar (accordion duo), Aer Duo and Between feathers (AT). She completed her Bachelor studies with Prof. Iñaki Alberdi in Musikene (ESP) and master degree PPCM (Performance Practice of Contemporary Music) with Prof. Krassimir Sterev and Klangforum Wien at Kunstuniversität Graz. She has performed in several contemporary music festivals or academies like Klangspuren-Schwaz, Mixtur Festival, FAT, Carmelo Bernaola, Biennale Graz, Impuls Festival, ENSEMS Festival, RESIS Festival, Oper Graz.
